It’s the pinnacle of conflict driven story telling. Protagonists with little to no power are pitted against insurmountable foes with nothing but their wits, creativity & luck to survive these harrowing encounters.

Ultimately (most) horror stories are stories of triumph and human capability, which is why they have dominated the imaginations of people since the dawn of civilization.

They are sources of daily inspiration. Because if Laurie Strode could take on the personification of evil incarnate, then maybe, just maybe, I can get through a terrible day at work.
